Do you know someone who struggles with any type of lung complication or impairment? Do you often wonder how people, even athletes, continue to perform their daily activities when they have been diagnosed with asthma?
Respiratory therapists have helped thousands of people of all ages who suffer from conditions such as asthma, COPD and many other diseases of the lungs.
Pottstown Memorial Medical Center’s Respiratory Care Department features a staff of trained Respiratory Therapists, offering a range of services 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including:
- Pulmonary function testing
- Outpatient pulmonary rehab
- Emergency care
- Acute inpatient care
- Asthma education
- Overnight oxygen studies
- Arterial blood gas testing
The respiratory care department is also actively involved with student education (clinical site) and school programs, including the dangers of smoking and exercise induced asthma education.
If you believe that you or someone you know may benefit from seeing or speaking to a respiratory therapist, talk with your doctor about PMMC’s respiratory care department or call us at 610-327-7097.
