Physical and Occupational Therapy

Physical and Occupational Therapy is an integral part of your orthopedic and post operative care. Our therapists will work with you before and after your surgery to guide you through a program to regain your strength, range of motion and function.

Whether you have had joint replacement surgery for your shoulder, hip, knee or ankle,  cartilage repair, back or neck surgery, or hand surgery our therapists are trained to help you get moving so you can regain your strength and mobility appropriately and safely.

Our therapists will design a treatment regimen that is customized to your individual condition, working to restore flexibility and ease your discomfort. Treatment may include heat, cold, exercises for range of motion, strength, endurance, relaxation and coordination. Our therapists will help guide you to learn new habits or modify your activity based on your orthopedic condition so you can return to your home, daily activities and recreational activities safely.

Our outpatient physical and occupational therapists at CarePlex and Boyertown specialize in the treatment of orthopedic injuries ranging from shoulder, spine, hand and extremity injuries. The warm water physical therapy at Aqua-Therapy may be beneficial to help get you moving earlier during the recovery process.

Our certified hand therapist can manage your post operative care with state of the art splinting and exercise techniques to help you regain maximum use of your affected extremity.
