POTTSTOWN MEMORIAL MEDICAL CENTER PHYSICIAN
RECEIVES PATIENTS’ CHOICE RECOGNITION

Pottstown Memorial Medical Center (PMMC) physician Saira Hussaini, MD, is being recognized as a Patients’ Choice physician.  Out of 720,000 active physicians, she represents one of the 5 percent who receive this honor nationwide. 

Each year more than 400,000 patients provide online feedback about their physician experiences, rating various components of their visit including bedside manner, doctor-patient face time, degree of follow-up, courtesy of the staff, as well as overall opinions.  Physicians who continually receive uniformly rave reviews across the board from patients receive the Patients’ Choice designation.

A variety of internet databases such as Vitals.com, Health.com, and Managed Care websites allow for online patient feedback which is then tabulated by MDx Medical Inc.  The reviews are unsolicited.  Additional information available on the various websites include a profile of the physician and his or her credentials, which includes board certification, number of publications, hospital affiliations and reputations, as well as the prestige of the medical program in which the physician was trained.  This information allows patients and insurers to assess the physician when choosing whom to see for care.

Dr. Hussaini is a member of the medical staff at Pottstown Memorial Medical Center, department of family medicine.  She is a graduate of Deccan College of Medical Sciences, Andhra Pradesh, India.  She completed a family medicine internship and residency program at Reading Hospital and Medical Center, and a geriatric fellowship at Sacred Heart Hospital, Allentown.  Dr. Hussaini is board certified in gerontology by the American Board of Family Medicine.  She is a hospitalist for the Coventry Medical Group and has been on PMMC’s active medical staff since 2006, and she serves as the Medical Director at Coventry Manor.
