Dr. Carol Henwood, PMMC physician, and Physician Advisor to PMMC's Healthy Woman program was recently honored by the YWCA Tri-County Area. At a recent recognition dinner held at Brookside Country Club, Dr. Henwood received the 2007 Tribute to Exceptional Woman - Health award.

According to the YWCA, each honoree is making a sustained commitment and significant difference in the community by showing vision, creativity and initiative.

PMMC's Healthy Woman program was the title sponsor for this year's Tribute to Exceptional Women Event.

According to Dr. Henwood's nomination form, her passion for women's health produces positive change, and influences others in the workplace and our community. She is recognized as a true community partner and serves on local and state boards, as well as the National Women's Health Board. The role of counselor, teacher, and caregiver has inspired within her the belief that is is possible for individuals to make a difference in the world. Dr. Henwood approaches life with passion, professionalism and enthusiasm, helping to build a better tomorrow for our community.
